As the leaves are changing, everyone is busy harvesting the remains of the summer crops, and preparing for winter we kindly ask if you can:
- Move water butts 1 metre away from fencing as requested by British Rail and move any heavy items leaning on the fence. As we all know the fence isn’t the best so we all need to do what we can to prevent it getting from worse, or being liable for it.
- We are planning to hold a Seed Swap event in February. If you are able to harvest any extra seed to donate to the event that would be greatly appreciated! Here is a help link on how to collect and store seeds
- Hedgehogs and wildlife will be getting ready for winter too, looking for places to hibernate and nesting materials. Please consider them, maybe create a little log pile, or use old cut back material to make a ‘dead hedge‘, or even add some hedgehog next boxes, and bird feeders.
